Install ChekOS

Disclaimer ⚠️ Installing ChekOS and locking the bootloader will result in the permament lockdown of the device. It will not be possible to revert back to stock OS or change to a different OS.
⚠️ If you wish to use an eSIM, it must be installed PRIOR to flashing your device.
⚠️ It will not be possible to change or add an eSIM after flashing. Prepare your device This is an easy way to install ChekOS on your device.
Devices supported:

Pixel 6a
Pixel 7a (coming soon)
Pixel 8a (Ensure your device is running Android 14)

Connect your device Put your device into bootloader mode by restarting it and holding the volume down button until you see a red warning sign or green Android robot. Once your device is in bootloader mode, plug it into the computer or device you’re installing from. Make sure you use a high-quality USB cable, as many cables will cause issues. Avoid USB hubs if possible. Your USB cable needs to be able to copy files. Charging-only cables won’t work. Make sure that you have already installed the OEM USB drivers Connect

Unlock your bootloader In order to install custom software, you need to unlock your device’s bootloader. If this is your first time or you haven’t already turned on OEM unlocking:

Restart back to Android
Go to Settings → "About phone" and scroll to the bottom
Tap "Build number" repeatedly until developer options is unlocked
Go to Settings → System → Advanced → "Developer options"
Turn on :OEM unlocking"
Restart back to the bootloader
